I have wanted to be a Veterinarian as long as I can remember! I had my first job at an Animal Hospital when I was 14 years old and have never left the field. I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph in 1993 and joined the staff here in 1995. In 2014, Dr. Chris Martin and I together became the proud owners of the Animal Hospital of Stoney Creek. It is wonderful to be able to provide care to clients and their pets that we have known for so many years and to also meet new clients!
Keeping our pets healthy through preventative healthcare, and building strong bonds with our pets is very important to me. In addition to treating the medical and surgical problems of our dogs and cats, I have a special interest in caring for our smaller furry pets; rabbits and rodents. I live in Hamilton with my husband Paul, children Michael and Isabel, cats Digger and Zoey, and our new Australian Shepherd puppy, Frenkie. In my free time, I enjoy reading, long walks and hikes and hanging out with my family. I have a new hiking goal which is to complete the Bruce Trail end to end.

When I was 8 years old, I decided that I wanted to be a veterinarian. I fulfilled this lifelong dream and graduated from the Ontario veterinary College in 2002. I joined the Stoney Creek team right after graduation and loved it so much that I never left! In 2014, I was very fortunate to buy the practice with my longtime friend and colleague, Dr. Moriah Egbers. I was and continue to be excited to provide veterinary care based on honesty,
integrity and compassion. I look forward to creating close bonds with my four-legged friends and their human families! I am also thankful to have such wonderful staff that shares this passion.
My biggest fans include my husband Craig, and my two sons Nolan and Reid. When I am not at the animal hospital, I love to watch my boys play hockey, read great books and try new recipes in the kitchen. My family also wouldn't be complete without our two cats - an amazing little black and white named Ruby and a three-legged grey and white named Henderson.

I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1996 and spent the first few years of my career at Fisherville Animal Clinic. When the opportunity arose to join the team at the Animal Hospital of Stoney Creek, I jumped on the chance, remembering it fondly from my visits to the hospital with my childhood dog. Since then the clinic and staff have become my second home and family.
I love building long term relationships with our clients and patients, many of whom I have worked with for almost 20 years. Outside of work, I love spending time with my kids, we all share a strong appreciation for the arts. We share our home with our black cat Floof and flame point cat Fritz.
